On February 22nd, 2018 at 10am Conference entitled:

 

"CONSULTING IN CAREER PLANNING", multidimensional measurement of professional predispositions using the CaT tool"

dedicated to the Multidimensional Diagnosis System, and Career Tree education and career counseling.

 

The aim of the conference is to present a tool consisting of:

  • package of diagnostic tests and educational and vocational advice for young people aged 16-22
  • work tools for psychologists, educators and teachers supporting young people in planning and developing their careers
  • help in the career counseling process

During the conference will be presented:

  • tool quality: relevance, reliability verified on a representative group of young people aged 16 - 22
  • the cross-cultural nature of the tool, which will be available in Poland, Great Britain, Turkey, Spain, and Slovenia
  • diagnosis dimensions within: personality, system of values and life goals, temperament, cognitive abilities, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial skills, professional, current qualifications
  • on-line report
  • diagnosis results

In the second part of the conference, Experts will conduct workshop sessions in computer rooms, presenting in practice the operation of the tool.

The University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin has participated in the Global Education Conference 2017. This annual education conference is one of the greatest events of its kind across the globe. The Conference has become the platform allowing the exchange of experiences, best practices and information in the area of education that attracts the attention of the increasing number of viewers from all over the world.

This year, during four intensive conference days, there have been around 120 online presentations taking place addressing teachers, learners, students, education and training institutions, policymakers, parents and other stakeholders. Presentations concerned wide spectrum of topics, nevertheless, all of them were closely connected to education in the global perspective.

WSEI has been represented by Grzegorz Kata, PhD, Robert Porzak, PhD and Jacek Łukasiewicz, PhD. They have presented CaT – Career Tree project (http://career-tree.eu/index.php/en/about-cat/cat-project) implemented by the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin, Baobab Association, Kadis d.o.o., Polish Psychologists’ Association, Bahcesehir University within the Erasmus+ programme.

CaT is the project dedicated to supporting young people facing important decisions concerning their future education or employment. The innovative diagnostic tools available online, as well as materials and methodology for career counsellors, developed as the end project results, may contribute to increasing the quality of career counselling services provided to young people and, by means of that, help them make more conscious choices regarding their further development or career.

Faculty of Administration and Economics of the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin organized on 30-31 May 2017 in Nałęczów IX INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE "MECHANISMS FOR SUPPORTING THE SECTOR OF SMALL SECTORS IN POLAND AND THE WORLD".

The CaT tool and effects of the project were presented by Dr. Robert Porzak.

The development of the SME sector also depends on a better assessment and diagnosis of the hidden potential of young people entering the labour market.

The tool created at CaT will provide a quick and scientifically based assessment of the competence profile of future employees. The adaptive tests offered by the tool also enable the self-assessment of young people as to his or her ability to become an entrepreneur.

When the final version of the tool is ready, a kind of usability workshops will be held in partner countries, shortly before the project end. Those will provide an excellent opportunity to disseminate project outcomes. This will be organised in a way which ensure participation of previous users, who will play the role of results multipliers. This usability workshops will be organised in institutions and organisations who can be potentially interested in using project results: schools, universities, labor offices etc. This will give an opportunity for young people and psychologists, career counsellors to familiarise with the tool, feedback given from previous users and encourage them to participate in specially designed counselling tool.

CAT dissemination events will be additionally supported by presentations at conferences, events, meetings organised within different project & initiatives throughout the lifetime of the project in order to promote CAT aims and to ensure project outputs take-up by above institutions.

On November 26, 2015 during the Interfaculty Scientific Conference "Innovative challenges in the development of the region and the country", organized by the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin, was delivered the lecture titled: "Innovation in recruitment: multidimensional measurement of professional predispositions using CaT test and advisory battery”. Grzegorz Kata, one of the experts developing a tool within the framework of the "Career Tree" project.

The lecture presents the innovative features of the CaT tool with modern requirements in advising students in the planning of their careers.
